Abstract

The study is a mixed-methods study with a longitudinal study to examine the relationship between Fintech Adoption and Financial Inclusion in Emerging Economies. The data was gathered using SurveyMonkey from more than 3,000 respondents from a variety of countries such as Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, and analyzed using Tableau and R. It examines why fintech use is important, key enablers of fintech adoption (including digital literacy, mobile phone coverage and regulatory frameworks), and the impact of fintech on financial inclusion. The findings showed a 30% rise in the adoption of fintech over the three-year period, thus improving access to financial services, such as payments, savings, and loans. Qualitative results show that although mobile money services such as M-Pesa have been central, there are trust issues and poor infrastructure. The study ends with the conclusion that, despite the great potential fintech has to help achieve financial inclusion, the socio-cultural and infrastructural hurdles must be resolved for greater progress in emerging markets..
